Advocacy and outreach
We encourage our employees to go beyond their daily work and show their commitment
to the community by offering their time and talents to national and local charities
and causes of their own choosing.
By supporting United Way relief efforts for the earthquake and tsunami in Japan
and the devastation from the earthquakes in Haiti and Turkey, we have shown our
continued support for those impacted by these tragic events.
We are committed to supporting these national charitable efforts as well as local
charities via “GEPSI,” GEP Social Initiative. Our corporate volunteer efforts are
driven by our associates’ commitment to being involved in their communities. For
the past two years, GEP employees volunteered their time at Alexander Sullivan Elementary
School, in Jersey City, NJ. They worked with students on a number of activities
including painting planter murals with education-themed images, setting up new line
games in the school’s parking lot, and hosting a craft fair. GEP continues their
efforts for community outreach through a partnership with the Bowery Mission in
New York by preparing and serving meals and distributing winter jackets and toiletries
for homeless outreach organizations.
