Murali leads all engineering within GEP as Head of Engineering. An engineering leader with over 25 years of experience shipping world-class consumer/enterprise software and cloud services, he guides the application of best practices in software engineering and the infusion of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) capabilities in GEP’s portfolio of products.
Prior to joining GEP, Murali led major engineering initiatives in two of the biggest technology powerhouses of the West Coast, the e-commerce giant Amazon and the technology giant Microsoft. His stint in Amazon includes leading engineering efforts across all marketing cloud offerings for the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Marketing organization and leading engineering for the Alexa Dash Replenishment service. His leadership in Microsoft includes all big data initiatives for the Bing Search Engine and MSN properties, and leading engineering initiatives for the Windows Essential Business Server suite. Murali is an avid inventor and has 13 patents to his credit (6 published and 7 more filed), with the patents spanning a spectrum of engineering domains (search engines, data warehousing, data backup and software licensing).
Murali’s passion for engineering software in varied domains is only matched by his passion to delight customers. And for the last decade, he has focused on building high-performance teams, creating strong cross-team and cross-organizational collaboration, all toward the simple and single goal of delighting his customers.
