Campus Connect

Be Yourself, Make A Difference

At GEP, we celebrate everyone and everyone is celebrated. Our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion is reflected in our employee resources groups, Women@GEP, GEP African Ancestry Network, GEP LGBTQ+ Pride, and GEP Social Initiatives, and the work that these groups do to lift up underserved and minority populations in our communities. We’re always striving for increased representation because the way forward for GEP is through the brilliant ideas of many people with varied backgrounds and experiences.

I joined GEP in July 2016, at a time when the firm had a small but rapidly growing global footprint and a strongly entrepreneurial identity. The extraordinary degree of openness, inclusion, and diversity I experienced throughout my recruiting process with the company was only further exemplified through my first week as a new hire, and continue to be embodied by the people I engage with every day. Since that first week, we’ve more than tripled our global headcount, opened numerous offices across six continents, and further strengthened our foothold as a global leader in procurement and supply chain consulting. Despite this explosive growth, the company has continued to hold firm to its culture and identity, helping to foster an environment of mutual respect, learning, and growth. Whether I am presenting to C-suite executives at Fortune 500 clients or hanging out with team members at airports on Thursday afternoons, I continue to be challenged, engaged, and excited as a consultant at GEP.

I was introduced to GEP via on-campus recruitment at Northwestern University during my senior year. I became interested in the company because it was clear that it valued generating results for its clients and empowering employees. This has proved true ever since I first joined in 2017. I have always felt supported when proposing ideas for how GEP can improve and do new things for both their clients and employees. In each of my projects, we have delivered great outcomes and our clients have been vocal about their appreciation. Thanks to this culture, GEP continues to grow – from the increase in clients, to expansion in thought leadership, development of new technology and creating a better environment for employees. There is a culture of being receptive to feedback, being willing to change and stepping up to new challenges, which allows each employee the opportunity to make an impact. I have felt like I have been able to do this in several ways, including through being a lead for

Everyone at the firm is willing to connect and help along the way. Having an environment like this right out of college has been an incredible experience. GEP gives you chances to build foundational skills that carry beyond the everyday work of a consultant. GEP also encourages you to get involved in activities across the firm from day one. I’ve loved this aspect of GEP’s culture as it creates opportunities to build your network within the firm. GEP sets itself apart through its down to earth culture that’s rooted in community.

I joined GEP through on campus recruiting at my university after I had decided I wanted to kick-start my career in consulting. During the recruiting process and in my first weeks on the job, I increasingly noticed the culture of empowerment. I was certain I would be challenged as a consultant and get the chance to work with a variety of clients, but beyond that, I started to see the room I had to get involved in other activities I was passionate about. Since day one I have had a substantial amount of opportunities to not only network but collaborate with talented people across seniority levels and backgrounds. Leading activities for our Atlanta team to get involved with the local community for our GEPSI initiatives and coordinating on campus recruiting activities are areas that I am passionate about and where I know I can and will expand my involvement. Anyone that is ready to not only speak up on their ideas but make them a reality should join GEP. You will not only grow your career as a consultant by working at a fast-growing company, but you will find many areas to get involved in and build a network of the most talented and diverse individuals. I am proud to work at a place that values both diversity of background and thought, and where I see myself continuing to grow.
