What is Supply Chain Collaboration?

Supply chain collaboration is the partnering of two or more independent enterprises to plan and execute supply chain operations. Advanced, data-driven supply chains leverage artificial intelligence (AI), analytics and machine learning (ML), enabling real-time collaboration among multiple tiers of suppliers and customers. This collaboration balances supply and demand and ensures the accurate and timely delivery of goods. Multitier collaboration can also mitigate supply chain risks in real time.

Supply chain collaboration includes capacity collaboration, purchase order collaboration, inventory collaboration, quality collaboration and forecast collaboration, which reduce operating costs, leaked spend and audit risks; improve inventory and warehouse management; and increase margins.
