Al has more than two decades of experience building and leading successful global marketing teams in the B2B arena, in sectors such as cloud-based software (SaaS) and digital business platforms, IT services and consulting, professional and managed business services, and financial services and investment products.
Al joined GEP in 2012 from Innodata Isogen (NASDAQ: INOD), where he was senior vice president, marketing, and chief marketing officer for nine years. Prior to that, Al was a founding member of the management team at Antenna Software, eventually acquired by Pegasystems, and headed the Corporate Brand Strategies practice at Weber Shandwick, now the largest strategic communications firm in the world. There, Al worked with the leaders of dozens of Fortune 500 and Global 2000 companies to develop and strengthen corporate brands as business levers.
His areas of expertise include brand strategy, demand and lead generation, digital marketing, search optimization and search marketing, marketing communications, public relations, account-based marketing (ABM), marketing operations and AI-based marketing transformation.
Al graduated from Northwestern University with an MSJ in communications and media management, and from Vassar College with a BA in history. He also studied at the universities of Nice and Grenoble, earning certifications in French language studies. He is an active member of several professional and industry advisory boards, including The Wall Street Journal’s CMO Network, the Forbes Communications Council, and SIG (Sourcing Industry Group), and was recently named a Pro-to-Know by Supply and Demand Chain Executive magazine.
