Roopa's role as the President of GEP involves overseeing the company's day-to-day activities, as well as managing the company's public sector practice. Prior to forming GEP, Roopa served as the director of business development for Novo Nordisk, identifying, assessing and negotiating new business opportunities. Before that, as a management consultant with A.T. Kearney, she led strategic sourcing and spend management engagements for Fortune 100 companies. A licensed pharmacist, Roopa has held various positions in R&D and technical sales at Rhone Poulenc (now Rhodia) and at Hoechst, spanning various aspects of manufacturing, packaging, and quality assurance. Roopa earned an MBA from the University of Chicago, an M.S. with highest honors in Industrial Pharmacy from Long Island University, and a B.S. in Pharmacy from Bombay University.
