Sonali Bhavsar is a visionary leader in data and AI transformation with more than 20 years of experience driving innovation and operational excellence across Fortune 100 companies in financial services, healthcare, retail and life sciences. She specializes in aligning technology strategy with business goals to deliver scalable, measurable impact.
As head of data and AI at GEP, Sonali reports to the president and co-founder, leading the global data, AI and digital transformation practice. She drives the firm’s expansion into AI-powered consulting and platform-based solutions for procurement and supply chain. Her work focuses on strategic selling, CXO engagement and enterprise transformation.
Previously, as managing director at Accenture, Sonali led the global data management and governance practice, helping clients modernize legacy systems, integrate cloud solutions and deploy AI to improve decision-making and streamline operations. She also held leadership roles at IBM and KPMG, where she led global data migrations and built compliance frameworks that reduced risk and improved efficiency.
A passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion, Sonali is a member of Chief and mentors emerging women leaders in STEM. She also serves on the board of the American Heart Association’s Go Red initiative in New York City, advancing education and equity in science and technology.
Sonali’s leadership philosophy is rooted in collaboration, resilience, and innovation. A sought-after speaker on topics such as AI ethics, data modernization, and building strong digital foundations, she shares insights on enterprise data strategy and driving transformational change.
Sonali holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the University of Mumbai, a master’s in information systems from Temple University’s Fox School of Business and executive education from the Wharton School.
