James Larmer is GEP’s global AI and supply chain transformation leader, helping global enterprises use AI to transform procurement and supply chain into a source of margin, resilience, speed and execution.
James has more than 20 years of experience leading enterprise AI, analytics and transformation initiatives for Fortune 100 companies and global organizations. He has deep expertise in AI strategy, generative AI, advanced analytics, supply chain planning, inventory optimization, operational excellence and large-scale change management.
Prior to joining GEP, James was a partner at Bain & Company, where he led AI and generative AI initiatives across Asia-Pacific and scaled the firm’s regional AI practice. Earlier, he held senior leadership roles at PwC, helping build the firm’s AI Lab and advanced analytics capabilities. He also founded analytics advisory services at Visa.
James has advised CEOs, boards and senior executives across financial services, retail, healthcare, mining, technology and supply chain on AI strategy, governance, operating models and technology-led value creation.
He earned a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney.
