Alex Castroneves to lead GEP's Latin American Operations

GEP® is pleased to announce the expansion of its Brazilian office and Latin American operations with the appointment of Alex Castroneves, Vice President, Consulting. Castroneves is an industry veteran with over 15 years of experience in management consulting and executive positions in the region.

With client site positions in Mexico and a flagship office in Brazil, GEP already has a sizable presence in the diverse and emerging markets of Latin America. Castroneves will lead the Brazilian office and further enhance the firm's footprint in the region. Commenting on the growth potential of the region, Castroneves said, “The Brazilian market is just experiencing a seamless wave of growth in its history, spanning all social classes and industry segments. Also, Brazil is scheduled to host the 2014 FIFA World Cup and 2016 Olympics, accelerating development in the region. It's an ideal time for us to expand our Latin America operations.”

Prior to joining GEP, Castroneves worked with A.T. Kearney in Latin America for nine years as a Senior Principal in the Consumer Goods and Retail Practice with functional expertise in Supply Chain Management. He was the Business Development and Marketing Director for TNT, LA and has previously worked for Klabin, Kellogg's and Colgate Palmolive in Brazil. Castroneves has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from FGV/SP with focus on Finance and Marketing, as well as an EMBA from the University of Michigan.
