Clark, New Jersey – July 25, 2013
GEP, a leading global provider of procurement software and procurement services to Fortune 500 and Global 2000 enterprises worldwide, today announced that it leaped into the leadership quadrant in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Strategic Sourcing Application Suites.
The bellwether report, released publically on July 1, 2013, was prepared by noted analysts Deborah R. Wilson, Magnus Bergfors and Richard Adams, among the most seasoned experts in the field.
Among 29 different competitors reviewed by Gartner, Inc., GEP not only outpaced the great majority of firms with its leadership ranking, but bested nearly all comers in completeness of its vision in the strategic sourcing application suite category.
The strategic sourcing application suite includes an entire range of upstream procurement functionality including spend analysis, e-sourcing,contract management and supply base management.
These activities extend to “identifying suitable suppliers, finding savings opportunities, quantifying and reducing supply risk, negotiating and managing contracts, tracking ongoing supplier and category-level performance, and monitoring the overall success of the procurement team,” according to the report.
"GEP is committed heart-and-soul to setting the standard upon which all other strategic sourcing application suites are compared," said Dhananjay Nagalkar, head of product technology at GEP. "Yes, we’re innovators in terms of technology, work flow and value – but at GEP, innovation is simply a starting point for a better user experience.
“Our goal is continually fielding the most well-designed, easy-to-use and effective tools that absolutely delight our customers. That’s the standard we set and the standard we strive to meet every day at GEP.”
