GEP Reports Strong Finish in 2009

Leading the industry in delivering clear bottom line savings for companies worldwide

GEP today reported that it ended 2009 with 37 percent revenue growth over fiscal year 2008. "We had a solid 2009 and led the industry in delivering bottom line value and savings to our global client base," said Subhash Makhija. "Looking ahead, customer demand for procurement outsourcing services continues to be strong, and we are well positioned at the center of this growth. Our fundamental outlook for the business continues to be quite positive."

The firm continued its global expansion by moving into state-of-the-art facilities in London and Mumbai which represents four times the capacity it previously had. They added high global profile clients such as R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, International Paper, Life Technologies, Tyco International, US Department of Defense, Wyndham Worldwide, and Wyeth. GEP’s workforce grew in line with their overall revenue growth.

GEP’s ability to deliver a combination of powerful software, deep sourcing expertise, outsourcing solutions and a focus on converting negotiated savings to "realized savings" is a key differentiator that sets them apart from the competition. New features in eRFx, Spend Analysis and Bid Optimization tools were launched this year in order to help enhance customers’ procurement compliance efforts and provide innovative dashboard reporting. An expanded client list throughout Europe and Asia bolstered GEP’s presence outside of the US bringing a solid revenue stream that allowed the company to invest more heavily in R&D. The firm continued its development in their Hyderabad research center and is currently seeking patents on several product features as a result.

It has been a banner year for GEP as they have been profitable for their 8th consecutive year. They received recognition from NJBIZ, New Jersey’s leading statewide business newspaper, as a fast growing company, was named to Supply and Demand Chain Executive Magazine’s prestigious Executive 100 Listing for the fourth time, and celebrated their 10 Year Anniversary of working with clients to successfully deliver an average of 4 to 16% realized savings.
